Meet the Providers

Carlee is a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She has always known her heart belonged to pediatrics! Carlee began working with kids as a student nurse at the local children’s hospital while she finished nursing school. Upon obtaining her Bachelor’s degree, she worked as an RN in the Pediatric ICU at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia for four years. 

She completed her Master of Science Nursing Degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2017.  She has over 5 years experience as a PNP working in both general pediatric primary care and in outpatient specialty care clinics at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia. While working in Pediatric Oncology, she presented a lecture on endocrinopathies in pediatric cancer survivors at a National Conference in September of 2020. She has a very broad spectrum of pediatric experience and knowledge!

Always longing to just do more in her community, she noticed the huge gap in how pediatric urgent care is delivered in this area. This is when she decided to open NiteOwl, to better serve the kids of the CSRA. She has two small children herself and is happily married to her high school sweetheart from MVHS (Go Mustangs!). They enjoy spending their summers at Lake Murray and their falls watching college football (Go Dawgs!).

Carlee is a mom and a local, JUST LIKE YOU! Her passion is working with children, and she is determined to serve her patients in the best way possible, keeping kids out of the ER and delivering safe pediatric prompt care. She also has training as a Lactation Counselor and would like to continue her training by taking a Pediatric Sleep Consultant course soon.

Heather is a Board-Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, who has worked in pediatrics for over 10 years. Prior to her career as a PNP, Heather spent several years as an RN at the Edgefield County Hospital. She first earned her nursing degree from USC Aiken in 2002!

In 2015, Heather furthered her education and earned a Master of Nursing Degree from Augusta University College of Nursing. She then worked in Primary Care Pediatrics at Edgefield Medical Center for 9 years.

As a PNP, Heather revels in building strong bonds with her patients’ families and offering her expertise for both well and not so well kiddos. She has a passion for helping kids feel their best, and she hopes to soon specialize further by earning her Pediatric Mental Health Specialist Certification. She runs her own Behavioral Health Clinic that she started in September of 2024, seeing children with anxiety, depression, ADHD, ODD, and developmental delays.

During her downtime away from the clinic, Heather is happily married and a proud mother of two beautiful teenage girls. She loves spending time with her family and cheering on the Gamecocks!

Heather’s commitment to pediatric care is boundless, and she’s here to ensure that every child who walks through our doors receives the best care, with a dose of compassion and a sprinkle of fun!

Alexis is a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She has nearly 5 years’ experience as a PNP, and she loves filling in from time to time at NiteOwl. She also currently works in Primary Care in Barnwell, SC.

She is a lifeteme resident of the CSRA. When she’s not at work, she is usually spending time with her husband and 3 kids (2 daughters, 1 son, all under 5)!

Ashton is a Board-Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She completed her Master of Science Nursing Degree from Seton Hall University in 2015. She has nearly 8 years’ experience as a PNP, and she loves filling in from time to time at NiteOwl. She also currently works in Primary Care in Batesburg SC. She has previous RN experience as a NICU nurse in Lexington SC.
